The oldest residential street in the United States contains 32 structures dating back between the 1720s and 1830s in the historic city of Philadelphia. The Elfreth's Alley Museum offers a guide book at its gift shop or online telling the stories of the early days of each building. The museum is located in buildings 124 and 126 that were constructed in 1755 by Jeremiah Elfreth and currently the only homes open to the public for tours. Elfreth's Alley is a U.S. National Historic Landmark.
