Canada's smallest city at only .08 square miles is located on Vancouver Island is called "The City of Totems" for the 80 totem poles throughout it. Duncan was named after William Chalmers Duncan - the city's first mayor, who originally settled in Victoria in 1862. The British Columbia city is home to many Cowichan tribes who craft the famous Cowichan sweaters. Notable sites are the B.C. Discovery Centre, Silver Bridge, Duncan Garage and the Train Station.
