94% 5 days Italy Tour package- Rome, Florence and Venice

I enjoyed this tour as much as I had perceived it in such a short period of time except for the 2 days in Rome which I felt were a bit mis-managed partly, because of the unexpected snow storm in Rome which caused everything in Rome to shut-..down. I would suggest the company to have back-up plans in case such a thing arises- For example - getting a free dinner (depending upon the composition of groups-alcoholic, non-alcoholic, vegetarian or non-vegetarian etc.) or some kind of compensatory activity for the group. Nonetheless, I would like to make a special mention of Mr. Mustafa -our guide who besides being well-versed with the History of Rome (was open-minded,democratic and friendly) as well Florence and Venice had some interesting inputs to create the context before handing us over to the local guides in each of the city, went out of the way and addressed our grievenaces of our 2 days in Rome by coming up with compensatory solutions to the former- by getting the visit to Michael Angelo's Academia ... having the original sculpture of David, as well as by offering Champagne to all the group members.
I also feel that the visit to Trasvere village could be better organised by giving more time to the group to walk around aplore the place besides eating as 1 hour wsn't enough.
Besides, the hotel in Rome could neither provide the basic amenities like complimentary water bottles or even a possibility of paying for the water, the breakfast was hopeless as well as the hotel restaurant opened only at 7 pm in the evening so if someone arrived during the day and wanted to eat after a long journey, they were directed to the nearby mall which was inconvenient for many of us. I would really suggest the company to consider changing the hotel at Rome for their future travelers.Read full review
This tour was great for someone like me and my wife, who had never been to Italy. We got to see a lot in a short amount of time. We could now make the choice to go back and stay longer in the places we'd like to see more of. Of course, the ..nature of that is also its drawback in that it was exhausting and at times we could hardly remember what we'd seen. I thought the accommodations were good on most nights; some better than others. I would have appreciated more time in Florence versus other stops. Our tour guide, Roma, was fantastic! She was knowledgeable, personable, and a lot of fun. I would tour all of Europe with her and our driver, Giuseppe, who was so helpful and polite. Overall, this was a great value and I definitely recommend it to those who want to see a lot in a short period of time.Read full review
I did not think it was possible to squeeze in so much of Italy into 10 days, but the tour managed it...and it was a WONDERFUL introduction to this gorgeous country. I would definitely book again.
Recommend to add one more day for Florence - the long queues for museum and short time to indulge in so many things Florence has to offer. Change hotel accommodation in Venice, the hotel is way outdated and not comfortable for long road tri..ps and closer to Venezia to maximize time also long queues for Basilica.Read full review
What I loved: The accommodation was better than expected, considering the price. The first hotel where we stayed (at Luxembourg) was awesome. It was a 4 star business hotel (Melia Luxembourg). It had comfortable rooms, luxury toilets, sauna.., and even pillow menu. However food was a little bit expensive. It was located in a business zone so finding supermarkets nearby was impossible. The other hotels were not that impressive, but they were still comfortable and nice. All hotels belonged to commercial hotel chains (3 or 4 stars), so they kept a standard of service. The bus was very comfortable, with air condition and a single tv. It had a toilet inside but we were told not to use it, instead we made a few stops to go to the toilet. Being honest it was better that way to avoid awful smells considering the long distances. The breakfast was included and we loved it! In general, it was very good in all hotels. They served juices, coffee, eggs, fruit, bread, cereal, potatoes and depending on the hotel they offered other elaborated meals. For dinner, we managed to buy some food outside and take it into our rooms since food prices and menu were not very attractive. Our tour guide was very nice! He was very helpful at all times. He was always explaining us how the day was going to be. He made quick explanations about the place we were visiting and then we were free to go for a few hours. I recommend this tour for people who would like to visit other parts of europe that are not the most famous at all but still wonderful. If you appreciate the little things this is the right tour for you. It is important to say that there are a few famous places included, like Paris and Amsterdam. What we did not like so much: The price we paid did not cover tickets for museums, nor anything else. You have to travel with some cash since all boats, museums, etc are optional. Your tour guide will ask you for the money inside the bus so he can make all the reservations. There were a few things included (farms in the Netherlands, diamond factory, cathedrals), but they were free for everyone. There is a kind of service "tax" not included in the payment. At the end of your trip (at least in our case) we had to pay 5 euros per day. That was for us 35 euros for the whole week. Another aspect is that sometimes we had too much time for a single place and in others we needed more. For example, we all wanted to spend more time in the farms of the Netherlands (they were lovely) but we could not. And in Frankfurt we had too much. Nevertheless our tour guide was flexible with some places.Read full review
Thanks to Diego Bueno, a hardworking tour guide. Beautiful and memorable Italian tour. However, need to re visit the itinerary, need to consider adding an extra day in Florence so we could indulge in the museum and shopping spree
Tour guide should pay more care to passengers, be more informative, should advise more helpful information about the sightseeings, what travelers should focus to have a good experience, save cost in the short time visit of the spot about lo..cal specialties... We had spent a lot of waste time to find places....Read full review
Our tour was amazing. The local tour guide for Rome was great. Not so great for Florence and Venice. Somethings that were extra we were over charged. One thing that was on the agenda for us to do in Venice we didn't get to do. Had to do on ..out own. It cost 19£ and was supposed to be includedRead full review
Overall this was a great tour. Local tour guides in Florence and Venice were not so great. Rome guide was amazing. Included in the tour was supposed to be a tour of the Basilica in Venice. The tour guide told us to do it on our own. It was ..19£. A little disappointing. Over charged for some of the "extras" in Rome. Walking tour and Vatican cost 70£. We were definitely over charged.Read full review
